Proxy Protocols

Written by Alex B

Both HTTP/HTTPS and SOCKS protocols work for most websites, but for sites with advanced anti-bot measures, SOCKS5 proxies with UDP support are often preferred for their versatility.

Gologin supports the most common proxy protocols.

HTTP / HTTPS

  • HTTP proxies are widely used for standard web traffic.

  • HTTPS proxies support encrypted connections using SSL/TLS and are commonly used for secure browsing.

SOCKS4 / SOCKS5

  • SOCKS proxies support a wider range of network protocols.

  • SOCKS5 is the most flexible option and supports both TCP and UDP connections.

  • Because of this, SOCKS5 proxies are often preferred for automation and scraping tasks.
